Students will learn the graceful and rhythmic art of Raas Garba, a traditional folk dance from Gujarat, a western state in India. Raas Garba is traditionally performed during the festive season of Navratri, where participants gather in colorful attire and dance in circular formations using dandiya (wooden sticks).This class combines the joy of movement with cultural exploration, creating a memorable and educational experience.
Participants should wear comfortable clothes they can move freely in. They will dance barefoot.
Students may put their new skills into practice at the many Navratri events held in the Bay Area throughout October and November!
