Registration is open to all San Carlos School District students in grades 4-8.
No prior experience required.
All students who register and are able to meet audition and rehearsal requirements will be cast.
Main Cast: Grades 6-8

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Grades 4-5
Chorus – No audition required
Must be a 4th-5th grade student at either Arroyo School, Mariposa School or Charter Learning Center in San Carlos to register for this show. The 4-5 Chorus does not audition. This is a singing and minimal movement performance. The Chorus will perform two numbers at the beginning of the show. The numbers will be of a similar nature to Little Mermaid songs
Grades 6-8
Main Cast – A one-minute monologue and a one minute song are required for the main cast. Please see our Audition Tips for additional audition information.

Dance auditions September 27.

SYNOPSIS
Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories, Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.
FEE AND REQUIREMENTS
Main Cast: $710 through September 19, 2023. $785 beginning September 13, 2023. Families are required to work 20-25 hours on the production.
Chorus: $275 through October 4, 2023. $325 beginning October 5, 2023. Families are required to work 10-15 hours on the production.
