Pocket Production – Mother Duck and the Golden Goose Ages 7-11

Step into a topsy-turvy fairy-tale world where nothing is quite as it should be! In this laugh-out-loud acting class, favorite fairy-tale and nursery-rhyme characters accidentally wander into each other’s stories—leading to one delightfully silly adventure after another. From Red Riding Hood to Hansel, the Big Bad Pig, Sleeping Ugly, and more, every character gets a chance to shine on stage. Along the way, students build essential acting skills, grow their confidence, and discover the power of teamwork. Final day of class wraps up with a fun performance for family and friends that’s sure to have the audience giggling!  Note: Students enrolling must be confident, independent readers.

For a perfect pairing, the Community School of Music and Arts Belmont offers a Youth Choir class directly after this one (just a 5-minute drive away). CSMA will provide snacks to keep students fueled.

Using a script, actors will audition and get cast in the play. They’ll learn their lines, blocking, develop characters, and create their own costumes. Learn about projection and enunciation, creating interesting characters, storytelling, improv, collaboration, reading comprehension.
