What is the Youth Advisory Board?

SCCT’s Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is an all-volunteer group of energetic, fun-loving youth interested in helping improve our theater and become leaders. It offers students in grades 6-12 a chance to speak up on a variety of theater-related issues, as well as assist and run special events like the annual Movie Game Night, Party in the Park, and Hometown Days Parade.  YAB members will serve a minimum of one-year, but may remain on the Board for additional terms if they choose.  Participants are expected to participate during YAB special events, attend 6 YAB meetings a year, as well as special committee meetings when needed.  Our goal is to have fun, introduce the community to SCCT, and help make SCCT the best youth theater on the Peninsula!

Current term runs Fall 2024-Summer 2025.

All current and former SCCT students, actors and crew members in grades 6-12 are eligible to apply.
