MAIN CAST – 4th to 8th

Open to all Clifford School students in grades 4-8. Third graders with prior chorus experience may request an exception to participate, provided they can commit to the full main cast rehearsal schedule. Everyone who registers will be cast.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

4th-5th: 1 minute song required, monologue optional.
6th-8th: 1 minute monologue, 1 minute song required

If students do not come prepared with one or the other, they may only be considered for the ensemble. Refer to our Audition Tips for additional information.

AUDITIONS

Everyone must participate in an acting/singing AND a dance on October 5.

FEE AND REQUIREMENTS

$225 through September 21, 2026. $300 starting September 22, 2026.
Families are required to work a minimum of 30-35 hours as well as help with their actor’s costume.

Limited buy out option without parent hours at $1,000 through September 21, 2026. $1,200 beginning September 22, 2026.

All families are required to participate in strike and attend family meetings, regardless of buyouts.

SYNOPSIS

The world-famous Willy Wonka is opening the gates to his mysterious factory…but only to a lucky few. Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka’s army of curious Oompa-Loompas.

CHORUS – K to 3

Open to Clifford School students K to 3.

The Preshow Chorus will perform two numbers at the beginning of the show which includes singing, some dancing and light costuming. The numbers will be of a similar nature to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory JR. songs but will not be from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory JR. No prior experience required. No audition required.

Kindergarteners not in the Clifford afterschool program must be picked up by a parent or guardian and brought to practice at 2:35 pm. No supervision is provided between the kindergarten release time and the start of chorus rehearsal.
